Inspiration
Easy to access, trustworthy and up-to-date leaflets can save lifes.
What it does
Drugpug is a utility that has two main features:
- We extract the most important information out of the leaflet and publish them in our information portal.
- We create a signed GS1 based QR Code which links to the portal.
How we built it
- Backend is based on GO
- Data Pipeline with NLP / Fuzzy search is based on nodejs - We use the complete FDA data source
- Cloud Services: Elasticsearch, Azure Text Analysis & Azure Kubernetes Service
- Frontend is based on Angular (was forked from a previous project)

- Too many ideas ;-)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of what we pulled off. Especially the cryptographically signed GS1 Code but also our information portal is really awesome. We are happy that we were not only writing code or part of the solution but that we actually have a finished POC.
What we learned
Everyone on the team has learned a lot.
What's next for Drugpug
Maybe add some more data sources (beyond the FDA) & clean up the angular code (it currently is a quick and dirty fork)
