Making an Arduino Uno Circuit into a drummer!
What it does
The Drumbot can be played with by inputing various values into the Arduino IDE.
How we built it
Using an Arduino Uno and a robust circuit, we were able to develop a drum set that can be played with by inputing various values into the Arduino IDE. The program is written in C++. The drum sticks are moved using multiple actuators.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the pins were not initially responsive to our C++ code. Moreover, the some of the wires did not easily stay connected to our breadboard.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a functional drummer bot in 36 hours.
What we learned
We learned how to work with the Arduino Uno, C++ and circuit design in order to develop a complex robot. The team also gained valuable experienced debugging hardware issues.
What's next for Drumbot
We want our Drumbot to able to control the velocity and change the parameters of the actuators without having to hardcode them. In the future, we hope that this technology can be used by physically disabled people who want to learn how to play drums.
