Dropstream began as a hobby project for me to learn more about the Ruby on Rails platform.
How it works
The system integrates to dozens of eCommerce market places. As a consumer completes the checkout process, the orders is imported into Dropstream, and routed to the appropriate fulfillment center. Once the order has been packed and shipped, the system will import the tracking number and forward it on to the eCommerce marketplace.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge I've had is designing a user-experience in which a non-technical user felt comfortable working with an application designed to tackle highly technical problem.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud to have been able to turn a once hobby project into a profitable business which is used to handle thousands of orders per day.
What I learned
The biggest technical take away from Dropstream was learning how to build scaleable systems.
What's next for Dropstream
Continue to grow.
