Every limited drop has the same failure mode: thousands of buyers hit the last few units at the same second, and the system oversells — then eats refunds, chargebacks, and a trashed reputation. It's the Ticketmaster meltdown, the sneaker-drop disaster, the PS5 restock. We wanted to make overselling impossible, not just unlikely.
