Inspiration

First responders are required to enter collapsed structures not long after they have collapsed to hopefully find survivors so we wanted to help make their job safer.

What it does

Our Project uses machine learning to help drones identify people within a collapsed structure

How I built it

We trained an AI to identify people in an image and if they are hurt We then added the AI to the camera output of the drone

Challenges I ran into

Getting the AI to properly recognize people Getting the drones code to properly work

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud that can properly identify injured and unharmed people with the drones camera feed consistently

What I learned

We learned how to use machine learning with IBM Watson and how to code for a tello drone

What's next for Drone Rescue Assistance

Improvements to the drone that would allow it to fly autonomously
