When trying to figure out what we most missed pre covid we decided it's partying with the boys. And of course what's better than playing drinking games together. However, it's harder to keep track of drinks and who's drinking while online. It's a very clear void in the industry...right.

What it does

It allows you to join a lobby with others and play drinking games, communicating to each user when they should be drinking, and track who hasn't drunk yet for info purposes.

How we built it

Manly using HTML, javascript, node.js, and Heroku hosting. We have node.js backend and basic javascript frontend. We are using and express for server-to-client communication.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge we ran into was trying to figure out how to do the front end. We arent graphical designers and we didn't have enough time to learn more than basic HTML and CSS. We pretty much botched the entire front end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Both of us had 0 web dev experience before this weekend. Now, we (at least kinda) know HTML, CSS, javascript, and node.js. Along with that, we have a non-crashing website hosted, miraculously.

What we learned

Basic of full-stack web dev.

What's next for DrinkWithMe

A bowtie, some big shoes, and a red nose for the clown-ass project it is.
