Drink Water Whatsapp Reminder

Inspiration

I thought of this after reading a medium article where they were sending whatsapp messages through python. Looking at the MLH-LHD: Learn Day 3 challenge, I thought we can totally implement this in a drink water reminder! And so we did.

What it does

Simple - Reminds you to drink water every 3 hours!

How we built it

We built it using the python selenium library for browser automation

Challenges we ran into

Getting selenium up and running and for it to actually send a message!

What we learned

We learned the basiscs of browser automation and that staying hydrated is very important!

What's next for Drink Water Whatsapp Reminder

We plan on completely ditching the selenium library and instead using the Twillo-Whatsapp API to make it fully automated.
