Inspiration
After successfully making our first app at SBHacks, we wanted to take the weekend to improve on what we had already worked on. In particular, we wanted to add a better design and UI to Drift.
What it does
The new features to our dream-journaling app are an interactive calendar page, dream theme design, Figma layout, and support for ios through flutter.
How we built it
We used Figma to build a layout of the different pages and flow sequences involved in the app. Then, we used the flutter extension to make widgets for the calendar function.
Challenges we ran into
Environment errors, xxxx long download times, virtual device crashes
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A beautiful design and a better way to chronologically organize dream journals!
What we learned
- How to use Figma for better app planning
- How to use dart and flutter to fill column and row spaces in our app layout
- Amy is even more of a boss
- Rose is a wizard who pulls designs out of her magic hat
- Anoushka loves them both
What's next for Drift++
Combining Figma and react, adding more swipe options, connecting to firebase
Built With
- dart
- figma
- flutter
