Inspiration
We all love basketball and want to pull up to CoRec Court every single day. However, we found it difficult to team up or choose a court amongst the 10 court in the CoRec. Sometimes there is nobody there and sometimes it's full. It's a hassle to check all 10 courts and see which one has an open slot. We believe that we're not the only group experiencing this problem.
What it does
Takes your name and the amount of people that you are going to play with (or alone gigachad). Send requests to the server, which assigns the court and the number of people that will be playing there.
How we built it
Vanilla Java
Challenges we ran into
Using Java, client/server, and integrating everything together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Actually finishing the project and having it work. Watch the demo in the ReadMe file.
What we learned
Java is impractical, we don't like it, but we must use it for CS180.
What's next for Dribblink
- Make it more user-friendly
- Have a legitimate online server
- Make the mobile app
- Improve the assigning algorithm
- Thinking about using different languages/frameworks to make it easier to implement
- Make it a reality!
