Inspiration

We developed this mobile app to encourage high school age students to be knowledgeable about their wardrobe selections as well as preparing for success by dressing for success.

What it does

Most High school students usually wear uniform and are not able to show off their unique style. Our brainstorming of useful mobile apps lead to the idea of an app that would allow students to explore apparel options that are suitable for professional situations. The purpose of this mobile app is to get students provide suggestions or ideas about Causal and Formal wardrobe at an early age. We hope this mobile app inspires students to take interest in preparing for networking events, job interviews, and college visits!

How I built it

Our app was designed using mit-app inventor 2.

Challenges I ran into

One challenge was coming up with an idea that has not already been achieved. Once we came up the idea we wanted to make sure that students would be interested in our app.

I'm proud to see the end product of our teams mobile app.

What I learned

I had great experience building this app and collaborating with classmates.

What's next for "DressUP." Preparing for opportunity!

I plan to continue exploring app inventor as well as other programming languages. Hopefully, I am able to participate in several hackathons next year. Also, now that I have the experience with a hackathon and competition; I will be knowledgeable of how to use App Inventor so that will give us a heads up. And I would also start thinking of ideas for the best mobile app starting now.
