Inspiration
-That feeling of worrying about not being well-dressed enough for your presentation.
What it does
-It lets the user to take a photo, then it gets processed by a machine learning algorithm that analyzes how casual or professional, appropriate for the weather, and color coordinated your outfit is.
How we built it
-Gathered image data of a variety of casual, professional, and more ambiguous styles; gathered data of winter clothes -Trained 3 CNNs -Built the app in React Native
Challenges we ran into
-Gathering enough data for the CNN, designing a user friendly UI, embedding the model into the page.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Creating successfully trained models, creating an attractive app, learning React Native and how to build a CNN along the way

-How to use React Native and Expo to create apps, how to build a CNN, how to plan and design a mobile app
What's next for Dress Hacks
-Allowing users to sort posts by style or recency or popularity, allow users to only see their own posts, allow the app to generate a suggestion based on the user's submitted image (generative AI)
