Inspiration

Everyone hates online meetings. Let's make them fun. Our product name is VirtualAvatar.

What it does

We allow users to express themselves using an avatar instead of the plain old camera. This avatar can be chosen in different colors and we hope to have different characters used as well for the future.

How we built it

We built it using Pyaudio and Pygame.

Challenges we ran into

We initially tried using MATLAB for audio detection and audio filtering. However, MATLAB's real-time audio processing wasn't suitable for us so we decided to use Pyaudio instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a product that makes online meetings somewhat less of a drag.

What we learned

One of our group members was new to coding and two of us had no experience in Pyaudio or Pygame.

What's next for dreamtSukliness

We hope to implement more characters to use for the future.
