Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from the ancient art of storytelling, a potent medium that has educated civilizations, relayed history, and foreshadowed events through the ages. Now, imagine integrating Generative AI into this timeless practice. While GenAI has already been utilized to craft and publish stories of global acclaim, our vision goes a step further, aiming to revolutionize storytelling itself.

What It Does

Dreamage is a pioneering interactive and visual storytelling platform, designed to enrich the storytelling experience by granting users unparalleled creative freedom. This tool not only allows users to engage with stories but also to influence and visualize their unfolding, making each narrative a unique journey shaped by individual choices.

How We Built It

We explored various models available within the realm of chatbots, ultimately selecting the Claude model for its superior compatibility with our goals for Dreamage. This choice was motivated by our focus on augmenting users' creative freedom and expression, ensuring our application enhances the storytelling experience in unprecedented ways. Challenges We Faced

Selecting the most suitable model for our chatbot presented a significant challenge. After evaluating different options, we decided on Claude, but not without encountering hurdles. Initially, the model tended to autonomously conclude answers, restricting interactive continuity. Through meticulous prompt debugging, we addressed this issue. Furthermore, we recognized the need to amplify creative freedom, resolving to empower users to input their thoughts and actions beyond restrictive multiple-choice options. We had issues regarding Image generation to stick to one image for a certain part of the story but this was fixed by separating the chatbots but keeping the overall story the same.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

A notable achievement was overcoming the looping issue that hindered our progress. This challenge demanded considerable effort and ingenuity to resolve, ultimately reinforcing our commitment to creating a seamless and engaging user experience. We are proud of being able to generate AI stories with multiple Imagery crafted alongside it to bring the story to life. By making multiple chatbots, we also managed to solved the issue of having to restart the whole story if you do not like one part. You can now choose which parts you want revised and it will only hinder the present chatbot and the ones after it, retaining the beginning.
