Dreamers – Food Compare
Inspiration
There are times when users have to look for various websites or applications to order food online. Mostly what users compare is for example, how much time it takes to arrive at their location, how much is the price of the food, and what are the services or delivery charges. We get inspired by this problem and decided to create a system that helps users to do this task easily.
What it does ?
Food Compare is a website that compares the two websites Swiggy and Zomato. It does the comparison of both websites’ prices, ratings by users, and many more. It gives a brief comparison of two websites and presents them to the users for ordering food which in turn reduces the search time for users.
How we built it ?
We did a brief R&D on both the websites and then created this system. We created this system using different technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Django. We have fetched data from both websites and included it in this system. We have used HTML, and CSS for building the front-end of this system and we have used JavaScript, Python, Django for the back-end purpose.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into some challenges that were difficult to complete. First of all, it was difficult to fetch the data from both websites around 3Lacs to 4Lacs. The second challenge was to convert the JSON data, process the data, sorting and organizing data and at last compare both data and integrate it into the web.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully sorted, compared, and organized the data which was fetched from both websites and integrated the data into the web.
What did we learn?
We learned team management during this time period. We have learned about how to co-operate with other teammates and how to coordinate our work to complete it before the deadline.
What's next for Dreamers
We are planning to include more features in this system, for example, comparing more data between both websites like delivery timings.
