We noticed that many aspiring entrepreneurs struggle with knowing whether their startup ideas are actually good—or just caffeine-fueled pipe dreams. Instead of turning to mentors or investors too soon, what if they could test the waters in a fun, judgment-free, AI-powered therapy session?

DreamAdvisor was born to provide brutally honest, insightful, and even sarcastic feedback for startup ideas using generative AI, voice, video, and blockchain magic.

DreamAdvisor is an AI Startup Therapist that evaluates your startup ideas and offers feedback through animated, personality-rich therapy sessions.

  • Submit your idea via text or voice
  • Choose from 5 distinct AI therapists (e.g., Dr. Reality Check, Rebel Innovator)
  • Receive a narrated, AI-generated video session critiquing your idea
  • Mint NFT certificates for high-scoring ideas
  • Track all your sessions and climb the community leaderboard

🛠️ How we built it

  • Frontend: React + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Supabase (Database + Auth + RLS)
  • Voice AI: ElevenLabs for realistic voice synthesis
  • Video AI: Tavus for avatar-based video generation
  • AI Scripts: OpenRouter for generating therapist dialogue
  • Blockchain: Algorand for NFT minting
  • Subscriptions: RevenueCat for free & premium tier control

🧱 Challenges we ran into

  • Orchestrating multi-modal AI services (text → voice → video)
  • Writing secure but performant Row Level Security (RLS) policies in Supabase
  • Handling delays in video generation while keeping the UX smooth
  • Coordinating environment variable security across development and production
  • Making therapist personalities feel distinct, fun, and helpful
