Inspiration
As someone passionate about design, code, and storytelling, I wanted to build something that makes travel feel magical again. The idea came from how people often search for trips based on how they feel — relaxed, adventurous, or romantic — and I wanted to turn that intuition into a beautifully interactive web experience.
What it does
Dream Travel Generator App takes your mood, travel interests, and weather preference and instantly recommends a destination. It uses smooth animations, modern visuals, and personalized logic to create a travel moment that feels uniquely yours — all within a lightweight, responsive web app.
How we built it
Built entirely on bolt.new, I combined: React + TypeScript for scalable, typed components Framer Motion for elegant animations Tailwind CSS for responsive design and clean layout Lucide-react for modern icons Custom logic in a matcher utility to pair preferences with ideal destinations Everything was designed and developed by me — from the layout and form logic to the animations and deployment.
Challenges we ran into
Troubleshooting file import errors (Can't resolve './App') due to path case-sensitivity Managing component props and TypeScript interfaces for smoother data flow Ensuring mobile responsiveness and animation fluidity Hosting and maintaining a smooth deployment on Netlify
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Designed and developed the full project myself Integrated animation, styling, and logic to create a cohesive experience Deployed the app live and shared it publicly Learned how to blend user-centered design with technical detail
What we learned
The power of Framer Motion and Tailwind in front-end storytelling How to structure scalable React apps with TypeScript Debugging and resolving real-world project issues Presenting a concept clearly, both visually and in code
What's next for Dream Travel Generator App
Add API integration for live weather-based suggestions Use AI to generate dynamic destination descriptions Add a save-for-later trip list using local storage or Firebase Convert into a mobile PWA (Progressive Web App)
