Dream Chasers

Inspiration

The project was inspired by the real experiences of young Nigerians chasing better opportunities abroad. I wanted to tell a story about friendship, choices, and the very thin line between hope and exploitation. Using AI tools gave me the freedom to bring that vision to life quickly and creatively.

What it does

Dream Chasers is a short animated story that follows two friends whose lives split from one pivotal decision. The project blends narrative, 2D animation, and AI-generated visuals and voiceovers to show how migration dreams can lead to very different outcomes.

How we built it

I used a hybrid workflow:

Midjourney to generate concept art, scenes, and visual elements

Moho for 2D animation and character movement

ElevenLabs to create realistic voiceovers

A structured script that guides the two branching storylines This combination allowed for fast iteration and a very cinematic look despite limited resources.
