Inspiration
Dreams are often forgotten within minutes after waking, yet they carry signals from our subconscious mind and emotional state. We wanted to explore how technology could help people capture their dreams and better understand the hidden patterns behind them.
What it does
Dream Catcher helps users record their dreams and detect emotional signals and recurring subconscious patterns. By visualizing these insights, the app encourages self-awareness, emotional reflection, and personal growth.
How I built it
We designed the user experience and interface in Figma, using Figma Make to prototype interactive flows and Figma Slides to present the concept and user journey.
Challenges I ran into
One challenge was translating abstract concepts like dreams and subconscious signals into a clear and intuitive user experience. We also had to balance creativity with a simple interaction flow within the limited hackathon timeframe.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We created a unique concept that connects dream recording with subconscious pattern detection and emotional insights, supported by a cohesive UX concept and visual storytelling.
What I learned
This project helped us explore how speculative technology and thoughtful UX design can turn abstract psychological experiences into meaningful digital interactions.
What's next for Dream Catcher
Next, we want to explore integrating AI-driven dream analysis and wearable signals to better detect emotional patterns. We also plan to expand the visualization system to help users track long-term subconscious patterns.
