Drawitch

Inspiration

As a Twitch's viewer, I eard from some streamers the desire of a game like Skribbl.io with the chat.

What it does

DrawItch let streamers play with their chat, having a ranking of best viewers by points accumulated and also by answers given. Each viewer can try to guess the drawing word and also use his channel points to do funny things or try to guess the word again!

How we built it

DrawItch has been built with NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3 and MongoDB as database. It also uses socket communication between server and clients to have real-time events when users use channel points or try to guess.

What we learned

I learned a lot on Twitch API, how they works and how they should be used to make things fine. Also I got improvements on video-editing side too, because I never did that and all was first-time.

What's next for Drawitch

I hope that DrawItch will be used by streamers worldwide. Actually it has only english and italian languages supported, but in a future more languages will be added to it. Also, I will add more and more channel points commands!
