Inspiration

DramaGen was inspired by the gap between a story idea and a coherent finished drama video. Creators often have to move between separate tools for writing, character references, storyboards, voice, and video generation.

What it does

DramaGen turns a story idea, outline, screenplay, or novel chapter into an editable browser workflow. Creators can develop reusable characters, locations, and props, plan shots in a director-style storyboard, and generate voice and shot-by-shot video while reviewing each step.

How we built it

We built a browser-based project workflow with reusable visual references and iterative generation steps. The interface keeps creative decisions visible so users can refine a scene instead of starting over.

Challenges

The hardest part is keeping characters, locations, and visual direction consistent across many shots. We designed the workflow around reusable references and explicit review points to make that challenge manageable.
