Inspiration
This was inspired by the medieval theme of the swamphacks page, and we really wanted to build a fleshed out game.
What it does
We made a game with built in cutscenes and a rogue-like dungeon crawling rpg.
How we built it
It was made using kaboom js (javascript) on the repl.it IDE.
Challenges we ran into
Utilizing Kaboom was difficult was because it was a new language, and the documentation was more lacking than we were used to.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finished the base of the tools to make the scenes and areas we wanted, allowing us to develop the game as we want from here.
What we learned
It would probably be best to learn more about the tools you are using and the information you have available before committing to it.
What's next for Dragon Slayer
We want to build up upon the story, adding story cutscenes and adding a boss fights, as well as more areas.
