Inspiration
Our main inspiration came from trying to come up with a more unique way to interpret "Royalty." We came up with the idea of a dragon who gets royalties from royalties for artwork. We also were inspired by the wordplay of "Dragon Drop" vs "Drag-and-drop," a style of game.
What it does
Through 9 levels, you create a commission for an organization in each one, ensuring you put in all aspects they want and none they dislike.
How we built it
We built it in godot, using git for file management and google drive for asset management. All art assets are original and made in Aseprite, and the song was made originally, too.
Challenges we ran into
Setting up Git, and creating a workflow between the devs and the artists.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The general character of the game through the art and design choices.
What we learned
Learned how workflow using Trello and Git works
What's next for Drag'n Draw
Updates for remaining polish and potentially an endless mode with randomly generated levels.
