DragoNav: Navigating the Skies with Fantasy in Real-time

# What It Does

DragoNav isn't your ordinary GPS system. Crafted for the mythical and the magical, this app offers dragons a guide to soar through the skies, ensuring the quickest journey from one point to another.

Our Approach: Harnessing the vast capabilities of the Google Earth API, we established a foundational map replete with features. Using Node, we structured the backend, enabling route calculations and region pinpointing, while React brought our vision to life on the frontend.

Challenges Overcome: Our first rendezvous with the Google Earth API presented a steep learning curve. Troubleshooting and persistence finally got it up and soaring, making this integration one of our proudest achievements.

Proud Moments: Merging the frontend with the backend was unfamiliar terrain for our team, primarily seasoned in backend development. Investing significant time during the hackathon, we achieved a seamless integration - a true testament to our collaborative spirit and tenacity.

Knowledge Gained: This journey gave us invaluable insights into frontend development. Primarily backend developers, we delved deep into React, enhancing our skill set. Furthermore, the extensive work with APIs has equipped us with a robust understanding of their integration.

The Future of DragoNav: DragoNav's horizons are boundless. Upcoming features may include real-time weather updates, ensuring dragons avoid adverse conditions like rain. Algorithms tailored to specific dragon species will calculate routes that bypass unfavorable weather, with updates occurring hourly in sync with the journey's duration.
