Inspiration

We wanted to implement the leap motion hand tracking software into a real world application as it is still one of the best hand tracking software's on the market.

What it does

It tracks the users hand and allows them to place dinosaurs onto the simulated land.

How we built it

We first split up the tasks from terrain generation, to hand tracking, to asset modeling, and ended it with model animation.

Challenges we ran into

Making the model for the holding part of the projector as the initial design would have taken 1 day to 3D print

Accomplishments that we're proud of

All of our team members learning Unity with no prior experience.

What we learned

We now have a better understanding of how objects collide within Unity as well as learning how to use the leap motion inside of Unity.

What's next for Drag-and-Drop Dino World

Getting a better projector and more stable frame base
