Inspiration
We are beginner freshmen that attended hackathon for the first time, so we wanted to learn and have fun. As a acm club members we wanted to make site for the club, so people could have an idea of what we are doing.
What it does
It's just a simple site without any specific features. You can find information about our club.
How I built it
We watched course for beginners provided by RowdyHacks and couple of other videos to have an idea about html and css. Then we came up with approximate design of the site and started to build it. Since html is easy to read language, we didn't have much problems.
Challenges I ran into
The most challenging part was to come up with idea of the project. We didn't know what to do. It took us almost 3 hours to come up with this idea. Then we had some problems with adjusting images to site and putting the logo.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
As a first project in our life, it looks fine and we learned many things. Now, it doesn't look so difficult to build a site as it was in the beginning.
What I learned
We learned new language and understood how html and Css work together.
What's next for Draft site for our acm club
We will update other pages and work with UI. We are also planning to add some animations
