Inspiration
The idea started from watching many science fiction films and everyone's fear of the invasion of ants or insects into their homes. The whole thing, however, is meant to be fun with strong references to successful games such as angry birds and crash bandicoot.
What it does
In the future, the world is invaded by micro-robots built by DEVILCORPORATION. The resistance invents a visor and guns capable of generating holographic micro-robots that can destroy enemy robotic ants and save the planet. Defend your home by throwing bubbles containing destructive microbots and kill the ants of the devil corporation. Prevent the ants from reaching the electricity meter. Their strength increases in the dark and you would have no chance of survival.
How we built it
The Play was produced using Unity and the Pico SDKs. The whole thing was tested on a Pico 4.
Challenges we ran into
The night mode is a lot of fun and led us to a lot of thinking on the subject of usability
Accomplishments that we're proud of
In a very short time, we designed and implemented a very first version of the game using the excellent sdk and the potential of the PICO system
What we learned
We learnt the use of SDKs for mixed reality with scene recognition and spatial anchors
What's next for ANGRY BUGS
Add levels with the final boss, add the initial story, add physical exercises with magic production through superpowers.
