Inspiration

The era witnesses one of the best, and developing times for the gaming community. With the development of best in class graphics, processors and upcoming metaverse, gamers need a platform with easy interface to connect, make communities, socialize and join groups. Hence comes DownGameTown!

What it does

DownGameTown is a platform to provide gamers a home. On the platform, all the gamers out there can join, create their profiles, make groups, text and lots more with a simplistic UI/UX. The platform allows gamers to easily find, follow and chat with other gamers. People can also create their gaming groups to find their partners in gaming crime.

How we built it

Using velo by wix : An amazing and powerful tool to build amazing websites in record time. Figma: Used figma to design logo for the website

Challenges we ran into

As easy velo by wix is, the more features it has. Having to connect wix to twilio, was a great task. Making the messages work through the website, can be a heavy task but is made easy by providing twilio npm module in wix. Secondly, choosing and making the standout design which can compete to the quality of hackers present was a challenge - hard to achieve. Hope I stand a chance there now. ;)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

DownGameTown is built , nothing more, nothing less. The website is up !

What we learned

A lot of things!

  • velo by wix: Used the product for the first time, and what a great tool.
  • twilio: Had heard of this so often, but got the chance to work and integrate it for the first time.
  • Designing: I had been more of a developer, but this time, I had to be my own designer too. Learned quiet a wholesome thing here.
