Inspiration
We were inspired by the Bored Button website and the story of Alice in Wonderland.
What it does
We developed an interactive website that involves solving different tasks to progress further down the rabbit hole.
How we built it
This project was built using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a little bit of Tailwind.
Challenges we ran into
Our team has never built a project at a hackathon before, so this was a first time experience. We definitely severely underestimated the time it takes to build a project of this size. Since our team members are complete novices in web development, creating 12 different chapters in one day was a difficult task.
Accomplishments that we're proud.
We're proud to have finished our first hackathon project ever!
What we learned
We all expanded our knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and how they combine together to create a functioning website. We also learned the basics of Github (never used before for our team) and how it allows teams to collaborate on a project together.
What's next for Down The Rabbit Hole
As our skills in web development improves, we will continue to update the website; using it to practice our HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There's a lot to be done such as cleaning up messy code, optimizing certain pages, adding more complex tasks, making each page more aesthetically pleasing, etc..
