Inspiration

The inspiration came from an alter ego character I created 20+ years ago (while in my 40's and going through the midlife crisis lol) called Douggie Dougg. I recorded some rap vocals at the time just for fun. Once I discovered what AI could do, I decided to try and bring him to (virtual life) with an original song with my vocals.

What it does

It's a music video taking a tongue in cheek approach to getting old but still staying cool.

How we built it

I used a combination of AI tools - Suno (pro version) for the music, I wrote the lyrics, used a variety of AI Image and video generation tools on Dzine.ai including Kling, Veo, Nano Banana and Seedream and ElevenLabs Text to Speech

Challenges we ran into

Prompting was the biggest stumbling block to overcome. Since every scene was create separately and then joined at the end, getting the desired output often took several to many generations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the result and that I could finally get this character out of my head and in a visual medium.

What we learned

2 things - first have a good storyboard and generate the images to be used in the video generation first as per the storyboard. Second, be as explicit as possible in your prompts.
