DOUBLE PLAY (dp) Daily Riddle is a bite-sized brain teaser built for Reddit.
Spin. Switch. Solve. You rotate and rearrange letters to reveal the answer.
Why We Built It
I post dad jokes on Reddit š and saw this chance to share something more engaging that tickles the brain.
How We Built It
We built it with Devvit specifically to be a daily interactive post that is unique to Reddit.
It appplies the patented dp word game system that lets you literally turn any letter into another (e.g., aāe).
As you can imagine, this wacky twist dramatically expands the possibilities.
We're always looking for feedback while building this for Reddit. For now its features include the following:
- Splash screen onboarding that shows the core mechanic (dāp) at a glance
- Mobile-first interface that blends naturally with the rest of Reddit
- Custom riddles that deliver once a day an interactive brain teaser you can solve in seconds
- Fresh content that is created with Natural + Artificial Intelligence (Mensan + LLM)
- Server-side game state that was recently added to track streaks and solve times for comparison
- Community comments that can drive competition, collaboration, and content contribution
