Our inspirations are childhood jump rope games, positive experiences and affirmations, and providing fun interactive physical experiences in VR.

What it does

Double Dutch VR allows you to participate in a jump roping tournament in space in the future.

How we built it

We built our project using vive, unity, vr-tk, and steam-vr with free and created assets in unity.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges when we started to ideate in the headset. The headset was far too heavy to comfortably jump so our idea shifted to handling the jump rope instead while having a jumper in game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of everything we've accomplished at the hackathon. We used our creative minds together to come up with solutions and develop a game around our constraints. We're proud of our organization and setting and achieving milestones over the weekend with a team comprised of folks who are new to VR and Unity.

What we learned

We learned a lot about unity, integrating assets, developing and implementing sound. We also learned a great deal about pairing down our blue sky ideas to the MVP.

What's next for Double Dutch VR

Next for Double Dutch VR will be to continue to refine and iterate on the game. We may also add other elements to create a multiplayer game.
