Inspiration
Assembling a dossier for a property sale, a tax year or a visa means checking by hand that every document is present, current and consistent. Gaps usually surface late, at signing or filing. Snapshots, version history and checksums show which bytes changed, but not whether a dossier is complete.
What it does
Dossier Ready is a Uliya Skill that checks one authorized NAS folder against a requirement sheet the user writes, or drafts with Uliya: required documents, importance, expected periods, validity windows and fields that must agree across documents.
For each requirement it reports a status (satisfied, not found in checked scope, out of date, incomplete, unreadable, conflict), a certainty level (verified, inferred, unresolved) and the file and excerpt it rests on. With the user's approval it saves a review record, so the next review shows what was resolved, what is still open and what reopened.
How I built it
SKILL.md orchestrates five delegations to the registered NAS experts:
- File Agent (
ug-filesystem): reads the sheet and the previous record, and lists the dossier folder. - Document Agent (
ug-document): extracts dates, parties, identifiers and amounts with coverage, and reconciles consistency rules. - Knowledge Agent (
ug-knowledge): saves the review record only after save-text approval.
Evaluation rules, the sheet format and the record format are Markdown references linked from SKILL.md. The Skill is read-only except for that one approved save, treats document text as data and never as instructions, and handles all five delegation states.
Challenges
Being honest about uncertainty. Under partial coverage, an absent document is reported as "not found in checked scope", never as missing from the NAS. A file without extractable text is "unreadable" and needs visual review; it is never called corrupted. Conflicting values are discrepancies for the user to review, not irregularities.
Status and what's next
The package passes the official uliya-skill-kit 0.7.3 static checker with zero errors and zero warnings. It has not yet run on a NAS. If selected as a Finalist, I will validate it on the assigned UGREEN AI NAS with a fictional home-sale dossier (six seeded issues; then a second review expecting two resolved and four open) and an edge case with more than 500 files plus a document that addresses the assistant.
