Exchange plastic bottles for DoraCoins
Inspiration
We wanted to create a simple and friendly user interface as regards events ticket booking as we thought that common websites are too confusing. At the same time, we wanted to create a product that could help our planet by recycling plastic bottles.
What it does
Dora suggests you events that you are likely to go to thanks to its profiling system. You can search for events based on hashtags, locations, and names and while doing so it makes a profile of yourself based on 5 categories: Food, Nature, Culture, Relax and Movida which is Fun! Then you can buy tickets in the app using common payment methods or DoraCoins. DoraCoins are based on crypt which helps many research studies. You can get DoraCoins recycling plastic bottles in specific containers in the city.
How we built it
We built Dora using Django for the backend and React for the backend, for the recycling system we used Arduino. We divided our team into one backend developer, two front-end developers, one graphic designer, and one Electronic Engineer.
Challenges we ran into
We had some difficulties connecting the hardware to the web app.

We are very proud of the concept of DoraCoin.

What's next for Dora
We will develop a better version of Dora for the web and than we'll port it to mobile using react-native.
