Inspiration

Working in e-commerce, I've observed a significant gap in generating traction due to the lack of reliable tools for influencers to scale their sales effectively. Increasingly, influencers approach with the desire to launch their stores, yet they often lack an understanding of logistics and product creation. This is where Dopa comes in.

Inspired by the challenges faced by these influencers, Dopa aims to bridge this gap by facilitating connections between influencers and brands. Our platform serves as an external channel that not only simplifies the process of store creation and product development for influencers but also benefits brands by expanding their reach and influence.

What it does

The application leverages social media connectivity to precisely understand the targeted audience for influencers, enabling Dopa to craft a network of products optimized for higher sales.

Dopa provides influencers with a data-driven approach to select products that resonate most with their followers.

Additionally, Dopa integrates a unique feature where these collections are linked with NFTs, enabling purchasers to participate in random raffles, adding an exciting layer of engagement and value to the buying experience.

Furthermore, Dopa encourages the growth of influencers' networks by offering royalties for referrals: if a link shared by a follower leads to more sales, the influencer earns a commission.

How we built it

The construction of our platform leverages the cutting-edge capabilities of the Solana blockchain. We began by integrating the Solana Scaffold, a comprehensive toolkit designed to simplify the process of building decentralized applications (dApps).

To enhance the shopping experience, we incorporated Solana Pay, a revolutionary payment solution that facilitates instant, fee-less transactions on the Solana blockchain. This feature allows customers to make purchases directly from their Solana wallets, significantly simplifying the checkout process and providing a level of convenience that traditional payment methods cannot match.

Challenges we ran into

Having never developed on Web 3.0 before, our team had to navigate the complexities of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps) from the ground up. This required a steep learning curve, as we had to familiarize ourselves with new programming languages, tools, and concepts unique to the blockchain ecosystem, such as Solana Scaffold and Solana Pay.

In an incredibly short span of less than 36 hours, our team successfully created a functional demo of our platform

What we learned

We learned a lot about blockchain technology to revolutionize e-commerce, especially in terms of security, transparency, and creating new opportunities for monetization and customer engagement.
