📌 About the Project
DoomLearn was inspired by a simple but frustrating observation: people spend hours scrolling through platforms like YouTube and Instagram, yet retain almost nothing meaningful. Instead of trying to eliminate this behavior, I asked a different question—what if scrolling itself could become a structured learning experience?
The core idea was to transform chaotic content consumption into a guided, progressive system. DoomLearn converts any topic into a 5-chapter syllabus and restructures real-world content into an ordered feed. Users still scroll—but every piece of content contributes to learning. Periodic quizzes ensure understanding, and progression is unlocked only through demonstrated knowledge.
🧠 What I Learned
This project taught me how powerful behavior-first design is. Instead of forcing discipline, I learned to design around existing habits. I also explored how AI can move beyond generation into structuring knowledge pipelines, turning unorganized data into meaningful learning paths.
🛠️ How I Built It
DoomLearn was built entirely using MeDo’s no-code AI capabilities:
Multi-turn chat manages syllabus state, progress, and quiz flow Text Generation creates structured chapters, summaries, and quizzes Search plugin fetches real educational and entertainment content Deep Research enhances lessons with high-quality resources Encyclopedia adds contextual vocabulary learning
The system works as a pipeline:
Topic→Syllabus→Curated Feed→Quiz→Progression ⚡ Challenges Faced
The biggest challenge was maintaining the balance between engagement and structure. Too much structure makes it feel like studying; too little makes it useless. Designing a system that feels like natural scrolling while still enforcing progression was critical.
Another challenge was ensuring content relevance and order—transforming unstructured search results into a coherent learning sequence required careful AI orchestration.
🌟 Final Thought
DoomLearn doesn’t try to replace existing platforms—it redefines how we use them. Instead of fighting distraction, it turns it into progress.
