Inspiration
This game is based on many pixel classics, including the original DOOM game, spelunky and Terraria.
What it does
It gives players three unique environments, filled with different monsters and a range of artilitary to tackle it.
How we built it
We built the 2d engine in Python, using the pygame module, along with assisting modules such as perlin_noise.
Challenges we ran into
Although there were many challenges, some of the biggest we faced were procedurally generating the map and dealing with entity collisions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The final game is unique and interesting, offering a special blend of some industry classics.
What we learned
We learned a lot about procedural generation, collisions, and keylogging.
What's next for DoomBunny
expand how many levels it offers, look to provide more pick-up items and offer local multiplayer.
