Angel Player: The Doom-Scroll Annihilator

"Is this really what you want to be doing? Snap out of the Genjutsu."

Angel Player is a cross-browser extension (Firefox & Chrome) built to violently disrupt the algorithm-induced brain rot of infinite scrolling on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.

Themed after Kanade Tachibana's "Angel Player" software from Angel Beats!, this extension doesn't just block websites—it deploys escalating Guard Skills to systematically dismantle your dopamine loop the longer you stare at the screen.

The Arsenal (Features)

When you enter a short-form video feed, the Hand Sonic HUD initializes in the top right corner. It tracks your wasted time in cold, hard seconds. As the timer ticks up, the system auto-deploys countermeasures:

  • Guard Skill 1: Colorless (60 Seconds)
    • Effect: Injects a 100% grayscale filter into the browser.
    • Why: Kills the vibrant, flashing visual stimuli that keep your brain hooked.
  • Guard Skill 2: Distortion (120 Seconds)
    • Effect: Deploys a semi-transparent black overlay, blocking the UI.
    • Why: A forced "Speed Bump." You must physically click "Resume Scrolling" to continue, breaking the zombie-scrolling trance.
  • Guard Skill 3: Intervention (Randomized after 150 Seconds)
    • Effect: Pauses all media and flashes a massive, pulsing existential reality check (e.g., "Your time is finite. Wake up.").
    • Why: To induce a sudden moment of self-awareness.
  • Guard Skill 4: Graduation (300 Seconds)
    • Effect: The ultimate failsafe. The screen goes pitch black, scrolling is permanently disabled, and a calming Angel Beats! meditation video auto-plays.
    • Why: You've lost the battle. Time to breathe and go outside.
