Inspiration

I grew up in a home full of children where creativity flourished. My mom was a childcare assistant, and I had the chance to see dozens of little budding artists with their drawings, stories, and dreams. But these treasures often faded away over time.
One day, I wondered: "What if I could bring these childhood memories to life?"
Doodibook was born from this deep desire to capture children’s imagination, showcase their creations, and offer them an eternal keepsake to share.

What it does

Doodibook is a magical web application that transforms children’s drawings into enchanting stories and illustrations.
Users can create:

• The Magic Book: a personalized book, chapter by chapter, enriched with automatically generated illustrations.

• The Magic Card: a shorter format, a card with a magical drawing on the front and a tender story on the back.

• The Lenticular Card: a card that changes image depending on the viewing angle, revealing magic before your eyes.

At the heart of this adventure, Owly, a mischievous and kind owl, guides children and brings their stories to life with magical feathers that users can acquire.

How we built it

I am neither a developer nor a graphic designer by training. As a farmer’s product merchant, it was while wanting to create my online store that I discovered no-code and vibe coding.
Thanks to the bolt.new platform, I learned to build websites on my own, without technical training, including https://explorethemeparks.com/, a community site about theme parks, a passion since my childhood.

Doodibook is my very first creative project, combining no-code and artificial intelligence to generate magical stories and images.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge I faced, and which took me the most time, was managing interactions with n8n workflows, a tool I had never used before. Finding the balance between ease of use and rich content required many trials and adjustments.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I managed to create a functional and immersive application that brings children’s drawings to life.
Doodibook offers a unique experience, both playful and touching, allowing families to share lasting memories.
It is a tangible project, born from passion and completely self-taught.

What we learned

I discovered the power of no-code and artificial intelligence to turn ideas into concrete projects without advanced technical skills.
This project taught me the importance of user experience, especially for a young audience.
The hackathon allowed me to test, improve, and validate my idea in a real context.

What’s next for Doodibook

I want to expand creative possibilities by offering more magical styles and interactive options. My goal is to make Doodibook accessible to as many people as possible, grow the community, and continue nurturing the magic of childhood imagination through digital means. I am also preparing to move into the commercialization stage, having already integrated Stripe in test mode to start managing payments. The adventure is just beginning!
