The high earning potential and direct interaction with fans, make streaming, especially gaming, an attractive career choice for many people, making it an important part of today's digital entertainment landscape. In the rapidly evolving landscape of content creation and online streaming, creators often depend on the support of their audience to sustain their passion and livelihood. Traditional donation platforms have been a means for fans to show appreciation and contribute financially to their favorite content creators. However, these platforms are often constrained by high transaction fees, delayed payments, local payment limitations, and lack of transparency. Donats – an innovative donation platform built on the Web3 blockchain technology, specifically leveraging the TRON network. 2. Disbursement Delays on Traditional Donation Platforms

Problem: The slow withdrawal process is a serious problem for creators on traditional donation platforms as it requires confirmation from the payment gateway, where all donation funds are collected and managed on one platform.

Solution: Decentralized Donats allow all donated funds to go to a smart contract address, allowing creators to instantly cash out their funds without a long wait.

How it Works

Donats is a service that helps you get financial support from creator fans, with one-off support instead of a subscription. Not for live streaming but can be integrated with platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, etc.

Who are the Creators?

Creators are those who actively create content, especially digital content, whether the content is livestreamed or not. All can use Donats as a platform to monetize their work.

What is a Fans?

Fans are those who make donations to creators through the Donats platform. Donats will display a stream overlay (while the creator is streaming) when the creator gets donations from fans, which are obtained directly from their donation page.

What is stream overlay?

Stream Overlay is a feature to organize and display a set of additional information that overlays the creator's streaming screen. Each piece of information is represented by a widget, such as the Notification widget, Leaderboard, Running Text, and others.

Donats can also be used by anyone to gain support but with a drawback: there is no real-time notification when donations come in.

Donats will create a donation page for each creator, the creator donation page is unique because the link to the donation page will be based on the creator's username. Donats are open for various activities such as game streaming, tutorials, DJ shows, talk shows, etc. Donats are integrated with broadcasting software that supports 'Browser Source', such as OBS or SLOBS.

Business Model

Transaction Fees

Each incoming donation transaction will be charged 3%-5% of the donation amount, with a minimum transaction fee limit of 1 TRX. This means that if someone makes a donation of 100 TRX, Donats will take a fee of 5 TRX (5% of 100 TRX). However, if the donation is less than 20 TRX, then the minimum transaction fee that will be charged is 1 TRX.

Since Donats uses a one-off support method instead of a subscription, the main revenue for Donats will come from these transaction fees. The more donation transactions made on the platform, the greater the revenue generated. By providing an easy-to-use and transparent platform, Donats can attract more users and increase transaction volume, which in turn will significantly increase revenue.

Leaderboard is a list or table that displays the largest contributions from donors during live streaming. Contribution data from processed donations is automatically entered into the leaderboard, which is then updated in real time during the broadcast.

Running Text

Running text is a running text that is displayed on the screen during live streaming to convey donation messages, thank you notes, or other important information to the audience.

Subathon

Subathon are special events organized by creators with the aim of increasing the number of donations on their streaming platform. Subathon works by increasing the creator's streaming time for every viewer who donates.

Milestone

Milestones are certain milestones in donations set by the streamer, such as the total amount of donations collected or the achievement of certain time targets. Milestones can also be used as a motivational driver to encourage more participation in donating.
