Currently, the most effective method of tracking water and nutrients is to manually enter the quantity, calories, and other nutrition facts in a physical notebook or with apps like MyFitnessPal. However, it is not easy or convenient to accurately report these nutrients on a daily basis. Many nutrient tracking apps rely heavily on the user’s ability to keep themselves accountable, but, oftentimes, people will give up tracking their meals in just a few days.
Our product, Don’t Sweat It, offers a wearable device paired with an app as a one-stop solution to monitoring health and nutrition. The non-invasive tracking method uses sweat collected into the smartwatch to accurately give insights on the body’s hydration, blood glucose, potassium, calcium, vitamins, and more, relaying the information to the app as real-time or summary modules.
To increase the accuracy of the data, a detailed food intake tracking tool allows users to instantly record the macros of every meal with a single snap, where computer vision identifies and segments ingredients within. As a bonus, the AI-based generative social media post creator is another effortless way to share daily food diaries with friends and family, motivating each other to continue being health-conscious.
With wearable technologies becoming even more popular year to year, existing products on the market, and research in development to back up the technological innovation in our idea, we are confident that the 26% of early adopters in people who use nutrition apps already will be ready to try Don’t Sweat It at its release.
