Inspiration

The project was inspired by the universal struggle to face inner fears and transform despair into hope. I drew from Korean cultural heritage—such as the White Tiger, often regarded as a guardian symbol of friendship and protection, and the Imoogi, traditionally described as a serpent-like being often seen as a “dragon in waiting,” yet to fully transform. In this work, the Imoogi reflects inner fear and unrealized potential, while the White Tiger functions as a guiding and protective force. By reinterpreting these archetypes through a futuristic K-POP narrative, I set out to blend mythic symbolism with emotional expression in a way that can resonate across cultures and generations.

What it does

“Don’t Stay” is an animated, AI-driven K-POP music video. It follows a girl who encounters her past (or alternate) self, confronts the awakening of an inner monster, and gradually moves toward light and freedom. It aims to go beyond conventional performance visuals by merging music, animation, and generative imagery into a cinematic, emotionally immersive experience.

How I built it

• Music: Composed with Suno AI (v4.5+), blending cinematic and K-POP elements.
• Lyrics & Story: Written to embody themes of transformation, freedom, and hope.

  • Video Generation: Seedance 1.0 Pro, Kling 2.1 (Freepik AI Suite), Higgsfield
  • Lipsync: Higgsfield, Sync

• Narrative: Designed around dual timelines (present vs. past self) and symbolic encounters with the White Tiger and the Imoogi.

What I learned

• When used thoughtfully, AI tools can amplify emotional transitions—from despair toward hope—by blending music, animation, and cultural motifs.
• AI can serve not only as a production tool but as a creative partner, opening new possibilities for expressive storytelling.

• Exploring expansion into an AI story-film that combines music, animation, and cinematic storytelling in a longer format.
