Inspiration
Procrastination can be a significant challenge for many individuals, and it often hinders productivity and personal growth. Our inspiration for "Crape Diem" stems from a desire to help people overcome this common issue. We believe that with the right tools and strategies, everyone can become more efficient and better at managing their time.
What it does
"Crape Diem" is an innovative application designed to tackle procrastination head-on. It automatically organizes and schedules your tasks, helping you stay on track and complete them efficiently. By offering a structured order for your tasks, the app reduces the temptation to delay or avoid important work. This means you can make the most of your time, accomplish more, and overcome procrastination's hold on your daily life.
How we built it
Frontend build with react, and backend build with Express.js. We used the MongoDB for the database.
Challenges we ran into
Three of us have zero experience in the ui/ux, making the webpages look nice, and having a reasonable user experience in the app costs us a lot of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
In such a short time, we build the entire app and learn knowledge about the framework so quickly.
What we learned
We learned about the Express.js framework, and get familiar with how the sigma works.
What's next for Carpe Diem
To make this a true web app, first thing is to add the authentication feature into the web so user can use it. In the future, the web app will connect to the ChatGPT API try to generate a more reasonable schedule to eliminate the procrastination.
