Inspiration

We wanted to capture that chilling moment of anticipation before everything changes. When a villain knows they're about to shift the balance of power and savors that knowledge before acting.

What it does

This teaser features Cedar Craftfeather muttering to himself as he approaches a competition. The clip ends abruptly, cutting to the Propaganda Spy Agency title. It's a moment of confidence that feels dangerous without revealing why.

How we built it

We isolated Cedar's voice at a crucial turning point, letting his words carry the weight without showing what happens next. The brevity creates tension. Viewers hear the threat but don't see the outcome, leaving them with questions about what Cedar has planned.

Challenges we ran into

Creating intrigue from a villain's perspective without giving away plot. We needed Cedar's confidence to feel earned and menacing while preserving the surprise of what he's actually capable of accomplishing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We captured menace through tone and timing rather than action. Cedar's calm certainty makes the threat feel real even though viewers don't yet understand what he's planning or how it will unfold.

What we learned

Villain teasers work best when they show confidence rather than violence. The scariest moment isn't the act itself but the anticipation before it, when the villain knows something the audience doesn't.

What's next for Don't Know What's Coming

The full Propaganda Spy Agency interactive narrative is available in beta, where players experience Cedar's rise to power and work to stop his devastating propaganda weapon.
