App limiters and anti-distraction apps to enable better focusing.
What it does
Pokes at your shoulder when the object detection model detects a positive on a distraction, such as your phone.
Challenges we ran into
CAD tolerances for printing and rewiring, ensuring all servo motors in parallel can operate on an independent battery source. Multiple problems with dependencies and virtual environments that made the computer vision model extremely difficult to directly integrate with the arduino using Python open cv API. Instead had to do a workaround with html and node js.
What's next for Don't Get Distracted
Include larger DC brushless motors for more power and 3 degrees of freedom for all 3-axis. We also want to add individual motors for each finger we plan to add to a full limb, to imitate the stern hand of a parent.
