About the project
Don’t Become Wise — Tenderness is a fight.
What inspired me
This project was born from a simple but powerful question: why do we teach children to obey before we teach them to feel?
I wanted to create a poetic reminder that tenderness, fire, and disobedience can coexist — and that growing up shouldn’t mean losing the parts of ourselves that burn the brightest.
What I learned
Working on this piece taught me how fragile and essential our inner spark is.
It also showed me that poetry can speak directly — even to those who “don’t know the rules.”
I learned to compress emotion into simplicity and to trust the quiet power of a few chosen words.
How I built it
The project mixes:
- short-form writing
- spoken-word cadence
- AI-assisted visual exploration
- a minimal bilingual structure (FR/EN)
I shaped it like a lullaby with teeth: soft on the surface, sharp underneath.
Challenges I faced
The biggest challenge was balance — keeping the message tender without softening its truth.
Another difficulty was finding a tone that speaks to both children and adults, without lecturing either side.
And, of course, refining the text so that every line carries weight.
