Inspiration
Card games, like top trumps and Cards against humanity
What it does
Provides a top trumps style battler against the computer, using unique card designs and characters.
How we built it
It was built in the Unity engine, operating on C# programming language. The Sprites and background designs were created using Adobe Photoshop. Google Drive was used to share the sprites and Idea documents.
Challenges we ran into
The whole hackathon was a challenge due to our little knowledge in programming. Making a card game on Unity, with a foreign programming language was a challenge in itself.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning how to code in C# and use the Unity engine to make a 2D game. Overcoming common coding challenges like Sprite rendering. Making a pixelated card deck with a unique and funny theme. Overall group communication, co-operation and fun.
What we learned
- Basic C# coding practices.
- Basic Sprite design We learned our weaknesses as a team, and made them strengths. ## What's next for Don't Be a Deck!
- Beginner-friend UI
- Better Scripting for a better UX
- More Cards and Battle-grounds
