Dolphin/Whale radar

Inspiration

Bycatch accidentally killing whales and dolphins without knowing it.

What it does

It does not work right now. It is code to listen to ocean noises to tell if there is dolphins or whales, and sends them a warning while alerting the crew. This is just basic python code. There is no microphone and it does not actually listen.

How we built it

I learned a little bit of python to make this code.

Challenges we ran into

I did not know all the code, so I asked my teacher for help

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I made a project for my first Hackathon, and I like my idea.

What we learned

Bycatch is a big problem, and anything that prevents it, will save lives.

What's next for Dolphin/Whale radar

In the future, I plan to train an AI model to identify the sounds and make it actually work.
