Inspiration

As students we constantly make mistakes. That includes financial ones where we make not be making the best decisions as to what to do with our money.

What it does

Dollar Follower suggests financial decisions based on student needs by recommending things to do nearby like grocery stores, entertainment, and shopping

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest issue was the API it was very difficult to try to integrate a complex API like the Google one to an application that was built in JavaScript which none of us had never used.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The whole application was an appointment right from the start. React and Node are very advanced frameworks/libraries for us to have never used Javascript and jumped right into that is our biggest accomplishment.

What we learned

We learned how to work as a team, build a react web app, use FETCH apis and most imortantly to never give up on the project

What's next for Dollar Follower

What is next for Dollar Follower is to finish implementing the Google Places API along with the Plaid API that way our application is able to make the right financial decisions based on real analytics of your financial situation
