Inspiration
I wanted a simple way to keep documents on my phone without all the extra cloud stuff and complicated apps.
What it does
Doko helps organize local PDF and Office files, with search, sorting, sharing, themes and customization.
How we built it
Built with React Native, Expo and TypeScript. RevenueCat is used for the optional Doko+ features.
Challenges we ran into
Getting Android file handling, themes and the subscription system working together took some trial and error.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Doko became a complete working app instead of just a UI prototype. The main document workflow, customization and Doko+ system all work together.
What we learned
About React Native, Expo, Android file handling, local storage and integrating subscriptions with RevenueCat.
What's next for Doko
More polishing, better file support and improving the overall experience.
