Inspiration
Oftentimes, seeing the driving of many people in New York is quite infuriating, to the point where we want to do something to change it.
What it does
DDDC takes some of your typical driving test questions and puts them into a speedrun course, where the goal is to answer as many questions as possible within the allotted time, providing an aspect of competition as you try to improve your score.
How we built it
We split up the workload into 3 parts, the visual aspects, the audio aspects, and the actual coding. That way, we could all focus on our own portion of the project and not tread on each other's toes.
Challenges we ran into
Getting everything in within the time limit is proving rather difficult, as the sheer amount of effort we put in this took forever.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The art is all made by us during the time limit of the Hackathon, and for the time we had, it turned out very nicely.
What we learned
2 of our members are not very experienced in C++, and observing and talking with the 3rd member proved very helpful in learning more about C++.
What's next for Doki Doki Driving Club
We can very easily expand upon this system, such as by adding more slow paced game mode where people can answer questions at their own pace, or by simply improving on the UI and SFX more.
